Alabama ACDA Summer Conference

The Alabama Choral Directors Association Summer Conference will be on The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama from July 13th-15th, 2025. Please mark your calendars to reflect these dates. The conference will include much of what we return for year after year: guest clinicians, interest sessions by Alabama choral directors, reading sessions that encompass all ACDA Repertoire & Resources (R&R) areas, food, fellowship, and fun.

Conference Registration

Please take a moment to complete this registration form so we may have record of your attendance. We will use the information you provide to send a link to our conference website, schedule, professional development certificates, and upcoming news from the Alabama Choral Directors Association.  Membership in ACDA is required for participation in this event.  NAME Members: Alabama ACDA will cover new ACDA membership for AVA (Alabama Vocal Association) members who are attending the summer conference for the first time. Include a completed ACDA Membership Form (below) with your registration.

Call for Performing Choir Applications

The 2025 Alabama Choral Directors Association Summer Conference will highlight our state’s rich choral music heritage and celebrate the expertise of our membership’s esteemed conductors and their ensembles.  We will call upon membership to submit performances that demonstrate diverse choral repertoire.  Conductors from all R&R areas are encouraged to apply.  Selected ensembles will be chosen based on diversity of literature, quality of ensemble audio recording, and overall needs of the conference.

Call for Interest Session Proposals

Alabama ACDA members are invited to submit session proposals for the  Summer Conference each year.  The interest session should address issues related to choral performance, choral pedagogy, or choral education. It may reflect various topics including, but not limited to, classroom management, course content, teaching methodology, choral style, cultural diversity, choral literature, and various performance genres.
